We're all sick!

This last week started out well. We were very motivated and determined to have our whole house not only clean, but organized by the weekend. Like usual, something came up....we all got sick! Actually, Matt has been injured so that's not news. Eli is teething and got a cold on top of that. Kelly got Strep throat (and hopefully didn't pass it on to anyone else) Well, at least we got our closet organized!!!

In the midst of all the sickness, Eli was busy showing off. He went from standing while holding on to objects to standing for a couple seconds (maybe once or twice a day) and now he stands all the time on his own like it's nothing. He is also great at walking while pushing his toys around. I know he'll be walking on his own in no time. Wouldn't that be great if Matt is actually home when Eli takes his first step? For now, he is fast enough. You can see what happens if we leave the room for half a minute....yes he is actually, stuck, tangled in the keyboard cord.

Eli's love of reading (or I should say love of books) is also growing. He just can't get enough of his books. Sometimes he pretends like he's reading the story all by himself. One of his newest tricks is that he always sticks out his tongue when he sees the picture of the froggy with the "long, pink tongue" in his baby einstein book. It's pretty cute!

As for the update on Matt's injury...He had the MRI on Aug 31st and we are still waiting for the results.
