Our Little Helper

This past week was fairly uneventful, but that is just what we needed.

Matt's back injury has flared up again, and as of last week, he will be off work for "at least 4 weeks." That was the doctor's initial prognosis anyways. He goes in this week for an MRI to get more info. Needless to say, he won't be trying to move any soda machines or fat ladies by himself anymore!

While Kelly is trying to figure out how to cope, Eli is more than thrilled to have Daddy home for so many days in a row. He is developing a great bond with Matt and lights up whenever he enters the room. Maybe he is just happy that Daddy lets him drive his truck. Good thing he can't reach the pedals yet! Matt is looking forward to when Eli is big enough to be his off-roading buddy.

Besides helping daddy in the garage, Elijah also likes to "help" mommy with house chores. He loves to be in the laundry room when mommy is washing clothes, and anytime he sees the dishwasher open, he crawls full-speed to the kitchen. Oh, and we can't forget to mention his all-time favorite, the vacuum!Kelly can only hope that he keeps this enthusiasm for cleaning when he gets older.
