Well, we don't know where the last year went, but Eli is officially a one-year-old!!!
He woke up on Saturday morning to find a doggy in his house. He was very excited that Buttercup made it up here for his party. Buttercup even gave him a birthday kiss!
We had a great time celebrating his 1st birthday with many friends and family. Thanks to everyone who came out to the park (in spite of the chilly weather) to party with us. Eli had a great time running around the playground with all of his little friends. I think he wore himself out because when it was cake time, he was too tired to make much of a mess.
After he got home and took a good nap he was ready to play with all of his new toys. He was a bit overwhelmed by all of his new little noise makers, but he eventually figured them out. He even figured out the little cordless drill that we got for him....well sorta. He knows how to hold down the button so that it makes noise, but then he holds it to his head. We were kind of confused but then Kelly figured it out. He is blow drying his hair just like mommy!!!! Daddy is not so thrilled that Eli is turning a power tool into a blow dryer, but what can you do?!?! I mean, afterall, they do kind of look a like, right?
Anyways, thanks again for everything! I think Eli likes having birthdays.(I haven't told him yet about tomorrow's doctor visit that will involve several shots) It all comes with the birthday, sorry Eli :(

Hey guys, thanks for having us over! It was fun to be a part of Eli's first birthday. :) We think it's hilarious that Eli's playing with his hair dryer...and it does look like one, who can blame him! We hope that Eli's shots aren't too tramatic. I guess with the good you have to have some sad. He'll forget about it when he gets home to all of his wonderful toys!!! Love you guys, thank again! :)
