After spending a week in the hospital, surrounded by sickness and disease, I couldn't help but be thankful for my family's health. Even though we have been battling health issues with Ethan, they are all temporary and minor in comparison to many other's health problems. I am especially reminded of Levi (one of Eli's playgroup buddies from our previous church). He has CF, and for him all of the breathing treatments, etc that Ethan had to deal with last week are a part of his daily life.
And then there is James (a man that also went to our previous church & was a part of our Bible Study) He went to the hospital about 2 months ago for a back surgery (discectomy) not unlike the one Matt had a little over a year ago and, due to complications, he is now battling for his life. For full details on James (and info on how you can help) go to http://www.copperhillchurch.org/main.htm
These stories really put things in the right perspective for me....how can I be anthing but thankful for my family and prayerful for theirs?
