We just got back from a busy little trip to San Diego. We tried to see as many people as possible since it will, most likely, be a while before we get back down there. We, of course, at the usual Mexican food several times, Kelly had a small baby shower for Ethan, we visited Julian and enjoyed some of their famous apple pie, and the main reason we went down there was for Aaron's homecoming. Aaron has been deployed on an aircraft carrier for about 8 months, serving mostly in the Persian Gulf. Kelly's mom was especially anxious, and made sure that we were all down at docks at 8:30am.....the ship wasn't scheduled to arrive until 11am! Since there were over 5,000 sailors and marines on the ship, it took another hour (at least) until Aaron was off the ship. Eli was excited, he had been shouting "Aaron" all morning. We got to see him for about 5 minutes before he had to head back to work and start unloading the ship (he was one of the few lucky ones chosen for this job). I think he was finished about 8 hours later...we had to head home.

It was fun hainging out with you guys! Glad that Aaron is back safe and sound. Just let us know when it's time to move! ;)
